I work with people who like to have fun while taking their bonsai practice seriously, and want to see their collection improve significantly year by year.
Whether you are refining advanced material or learning how to guide a young tree forward, my goal is to help you make confident, and comfortable with the work required and to make informed decisions that respect the tree and the time you both require. I meet everyone at their level and help them get their trees where they want them to go. I’ll teach you to recognize simple patterns in a wide variety of species and styles so you can reach a point where you can rely on your intuition to consistently create beautiful, unique bonsai.
Based in Japan, I can host students here for multi-day sessions practicing on a wide variety of material, subject to the seasons.
